A LEGACY OF EXELLENCE IN COPPER PROCESSING

From industrial beginnings to modern innovations – over seven decades of quality, resilience, and sustainability.

HISTORY OF COPPER MILL SEVOJNO

Copper Mill Sevojno was established in 1950 in Užice, Serbia, as a key part of the country’s post-World War II industrial development strategy.

Initially founded to meet the growing demand for copper and copper alloy products in the region, it quickly became a cornerstone of the non-ferrous metallurgy sector in Southeast Europe.

Over the decades, Copper Mill Sevojno continuously expanded its production capacities and technological capabilities.

By the 1970s and 1980s, the company had become one of the leading producers of rolled copper and copper alloy products in the former Yugoslavia, exporting to European and global markets.

Following the economic transition period of the 1990s, the company underwent significant restructuring and modernization. During the 2000s, it evolved into a competitive and independent company, focusing on high-quality production, environmental sustainability, and compliance with international standards.

In 2021, Copper Mill Sevojno implemented an integrated management system, certified according to SRPS ISO 9001:2015 and SRPS ISO 14001:2015 standards, demonstrating its commitment to quality and environmental protection. Additionally, the company holds the NSF/ANSI 61 certification for CuZn15 tubes, issued by NSF International, a leading global organization for public health and safety.

Today, Copper Mill Sevojno continues to play a key role in the copper industry, combining decades of experience with modern technologies and innovations, while maintaining a high level of environmental and social responsibility.
