A delegation from the U.S. Embassy in Serbia, led by Deputy Ambassador and Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires Alex Titolo, visited the Sevojno Copper Mill. After a working meeting with the company\u2019s leadership and management, the guests from the embassy toured the factory\u2019s production facilities. The host of this high-level delegation was Desko Nikitovi\u0107, majority owner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VBS. Highlighting the fact that the factory is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the majority owner<\/p>\n
“We wanted to show Mr. Titolo a production process that is very interesting and partly destined for the U.S. It is an honor that this factory is frequently visited by U.S. ambassadors\u2014my friends from America, as I like to say. I am always proud to show them how socially responsible we are as an employer and how our production continues to grow year by year, becoming increasingly profitable. This is Alex\u2019s first visit, and I\u2019m sure he\u2019ll return, offering suggestions and, if needed, assistance to help the factory remain successful\u2014as it has been in the past.”<\/p>\n

\u201cAmerican Standards in Serbian Industry \u2013 Copper Mill as an Example\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Coppe Mill Sevojno was the first factory in Serbia visited by the Deputy Ambassador and Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, Alex Titolo. He addressed the media in Serbian:<\/p>\n \u201cOur two countries, Serbia and the United States, have strong economic cooperation, and our goal is to continue improving it. Copper Mill Sevojno is a great example of an American investment in Serbia. Everything we\u2019ve seen here is truly impressive\u2014the factory itself and all the improvements made by its management. This is an excellent example of how important American investments in Serbia are and what we can achieve together. Serbia and my country, the United States of America, have very good relations, particularly in the economic field, and we want to strengthen them even more.
