U.S. Ambassador’s visit

Following an invitation extended by Mr. Desko Nikitovic, the majority shareholder of Copper Mill Sevojno, U.S. Ambassador Mr. Anthony F. Godfrey paid a visit to the company.

During the factory tour, Mr. Godfrey got acquainted more closely with the products and capacities of our company which exports 90% of its production mainly to the markets of the European Union and the United States. Desko Nikitović, who is an American citizen, also presented investment plans in the amount of at least 5 million EUR annually, which will modernize production and improve business even further. Last year Copper Mill Seovjno generated revenue of approx. 200 million EUR, thus strengthening its market position. Mr. Godfrey expressed his readiness for additional engagement in order to increase the export of our products to the U.S. market.

Ambassador Godfrey expressed full support to the management of Copper Mill Sevojno in terms of the planned activities and praised the socially responsible behavior of our company, especially the attitude towards employees. The Ambassador pointed out that the business activity of Copper Mill Sevojno represents a key part of the economy in western Serbia.

Desko Nikitović thanked to the US Embassy for their support and invited the representatives of the Serbian diaspora to invest more in Serbia, especially bearing in mind the favorable business climate.
